Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Oct. 12. By th.e readjustment of electorates, Christchurch South remains practically intact, losing only a small portion, which goes to Christchurch East. A small piece of Christchurch East goes into Christchurch North, but a small portion of Christchurch North goes into Christchurch at another point, while file East loses another slice of Richmond to Avon. In 1901 and 1907 the populations wera: Chrictchurch North, 11,938 and t3,494; Christchurch East, 11,908 and 13,491; Christchurch South, J. 1,980 and 13,421. Mr. McCullough states lie has not yet received notice of dismissal, and is still under suspension only. Yesterday’s weather was exceeding ly variable. The morning was blight and summer like, with a light ncr’west breeze. In the afeeru ton the wind was south-westerly, inci casing to a gale at 4 o’clock, with rain I rein 6 to 9. Rain fell liea >- ly. To-day the weather is warm and fine.
