Tho total, as already stated, is 9,000,000 acres, the areas in' tlio different land districts being as follows : Auckland ... ... 900,000 Hawke’s Bay ... 135,000 Wellington ... ... 9,000 Nelson ... ••• 4,350,000 Marlborough 450,000 Westland ... 135,000 Canterbury ... ... 1.800,000 Otago ... 2,250,000 Southland ... ... 900,000 The particulars of the acreage of the proposed areas as distributed amongst tho different survey districts are given in tho table, but there is no indication of the area contained in each county. Tho Premier said that it ims mtended to havo a map prepared showing tho location of tho various endowments.
