The Daily Telegraph’s Rabat correspondent states that it is reported that Britain has informed tho Sultan that she fears captivity is dangerous owing to Kaid Maclean’s advanced age and demands his release. It is reported that Raisuli claims a ransom of 400,000 dollars; also the governorship of Tangier for himself and the governorship of another port for an adherent.
