FIGURES Appended are Gisborne’s import and oxport returns for tho month of September:— imports: 5-13,346 super, ft timber, 3960 posts and strainers/ 113,150 bricks, _ 46 tons lime, 125 casks cement, 650 jbags cement, 689 .tons coal, 8 horses and: cattle, 330 sheep, 18 bales coastal wool, 1538 sacks grass seed, 1067 sacks potatoes, 966 sacks oats, 80 sacks malt, 148 ; sacks bran and pollard, 4 tons oatmeal, 123 tons flour, 42 ions sugar, 761 tons salt, 1521 eases of benzine and kerosene, 46 tons (measurement) fruit. Beer and stout :•—36 hogsheads, 167 eases, 10 barrels, 1 keg. Wines:—64 cases, 17 tjuartor casks, 7 octaves. Spirits : —567 cases, 39 quarter casks, 10 octaves, '15482 tons (measurement) miscellaneous, 1667 lineal ft. house-blocks, 3 motor cars, 60 tons wire.
Exports :—t247 boxes butter. 12,545 carcases mutton, 3SB carcases lamb, 48 tons 17 cwt meat sundries, 246 cases preserved meats, 27 casks p - As, 42 casks tallow, 1673 hides, :.v sheepskins, 15 tons manure, 186 bales wool; 6 cattle and horses, 125 Sacks grass seed, 155 sacks maize, 6 sacks chaff, 25 sacks potatoes, 231 tons miscellaneous (measurement).
