ROWING.
A mooting of tho comitteo of tho Gisboruo It owing Club was hold last night. Tho following gentlemen notified their intention to donato trophies: Mr. E. H. Gibbon (block of Queensland green opal), Mr C. Busdko (gold medals), Mr. T. Adair (gold medals), Mr. AV. J. Hennessy (shoos), nnd Dr. Sohumaclior (gold medal). Dr. Schumacher’s medal is for single sculling. Tho Schumacher Cup, for a four-oared race, will bo competed for ns usual. It was decided to purchase two new' up-to-date practico clinker fours. The Trial Fours will bo raced in tho first week in November. Entries close on Monday next, and tho committee request that intending comnotitors will as soon as possible ©liter their names on a list which will bo posted at tho boat-house to-day. The following were appointed a selection committee for club races: Messrs AV. Hackett, D. E. Dustin, and C. J. Hamilton. It was decided that members be asked to meet at tho boathouse at 7.30 o’clock this evening for tho purpose of forming a working boo to put tho plant in order.
