ANGLO-RUSSIAN TREATY.

RUSSIAN AND GERMAN OPINION Jmted Press Association—Copyright (Received Sept. 27, 10.30 p.m.) LONDON, Sept. 27. The Times forecast of Russian opinion on the Anglo-Russion agreement is confirmed by the “St. Petersburg Bourse Gazette,” which remarks:—A convention dealing with European questions should be the logical sequel to a convention dealing with Asiatic affairs. BERLIN, Sept. 27. In official circles in Berlin the attitude of the German Government is described as friendly to the agreement. Germany’s commercial interests in the Persian Gulf are not affected by Britain’s maintenance of the open-door policy. The “Deutche Tages Zeitung” declares that the last stone has been laid in the building of the British coalition policy. From the standpoint of Germany’s Imperial interests Germany has no reason to feel satisfied when two other Powers arrange differences which in given circumstances might be more useful to Germany.
