DOMINION DAY.

Up to last evening tlio Mayor had made no definite arrangements for colobrating Dominion Day, but will consult the Borough Council to-night. From what can bo learned there is little prospect ‘of getting a muster of volunteers for tho occasion, bo that the reading of the proclamation (a copy of avhich comes to hand to-mor-roav) may bo a little lacking in “pomp and circumstance.” It is probablo that tho place of assemblage will bo Peel street, and that after tho official proclamation at 11 o’clock, the opportunity will bo taken to unveil tho Sievwright Memorial and hand it over to tho Mayor and Councillors in trust for the citizens.
