The Matawliero creamory of the Kia Ora factory re-opened yesterday. The Star of Gisbomo Lodge holds itte quarterly meeting this evening. A band of workers wore o ngagod at the Salvation Army Barracks last night in preparing the stalls for the sale of avork in aid of tho Army s Solf-Doninl Fund, avhich is to bo openod by tlio Mayor to-morrow evening. There will bo five or six stalls, holding a groat variety of goods. Tlio sale avill continue for three days, and on oh ovening half-an-liour avill bo dpvoted to a musioal programme, the visitors and local talent contributing. Major James Dutton, who. is among tho visitors, is noted as a singer, and ho avill introduce some of tho latest Army songs. Next Sunday afternoon n musical service avill bo held, and in tho evening a missionary mooting avill bo held in His Majesty’s Theatre. Major and Mrs. Albiston and party, aa'lio are to take charge of affairs, arrive from tho South to-morroav morning.
