A PECULIAR CAUCUS.
PRIVILEGES OF MEMBERS . (Special to Times.) WELLINGGTON. Sept 20. A caucus of the Govenment party was held to-day principally in connection with'the behaviour of a cerroaMi number of the Government party and various privileges of members in resard to the admission of. strangers into the library and lobbies. There was some very strong talk in regard to the member referred to, and the Premier promised to see wliat he could do to meet the wishes of members. During the afternoon prominence was given to this matter by tlie action of the member for Christchurch North (Mr. Gray) who, armed with a scent bottle and a spray at intervals liberally besprinkled the bench on which the hon. member referred to usually sits. It is stated that the Premier took advantage of the opportunity to urge upon his party tho advisability of working together with a view to putting through important policy measures this session.
