THE COLONIAL MUSEUM.

(Special to Times.) WELLINGTON, Sept. 19. Tho old Colonial Museum in Museum Street is evidently to he pulled down. A decrepit and dilapidated building, with leaky roof and timbers riddled by the borer, houses a very valuable collection, especially of Maori implements and carvings. Tho new museum, for which plans have been drawn, will ho erected on a now site near the Alexandria Barracks on the Mount Cook reserve. From a_ public point of view tho new site is too far distant from tlio centre of tho city.
