At Auckland on Thursday tho wedding was solemnised of Mr. B. S. Cox, second son of Mr. B. W. Cox, of Gisborne, and Miss Mabel Currie, youngest daughter of tho late Mr. Alex. Currie, of Auckland. Miss E. Currie was bridesmaid and Mr. W. J. Cox officiated as best man. '

Mr. G. G. Chisholm, who loaves for his new sphere of work, Port Chalmers, on Sunday evening next, has been presented by the teachers of St. Andrew’s Sunday School with a farewell gift, in the shape of a travelling case, suitably inscribed. Mr. Broughton, clerk to the TaiRawhiti Maori Land Board, is slowly recovering from his illness. As it will be some time before he is able to resume duty, his place is being temporary filled by Mr H. R. Balneavis, of the Wellington office, who was formerly on the local staff of the Native Land Court, and has been acting as relieving clerk for some time. A Press Association telegram from Wellington states that the death 01 Mrs. Levi, wife of Mr. P. Levi, solicitor, occurred there yesterday. The deceased lady, who was much esteemed by all who knew her, was a daughter of Mrs. Da vis, of Dunedin, and sister of Mrs.'lsaacs, of Wellington, and Mrs. T. W; Stringer, of Christchurch. She had.been ill for a considerable time. Th'e family consists of two daughters.
