Auckland to-day was won by Auckland bv 10 points to nil. The game was mostly a forward one, and play was not of a very high _ standard, though fast and interesting. Against a slight breeze in the first spell Auckland got the lead with a penalty goal by Magee. With the wind in the second spell Auckland had all the best of tlio game. Twiname potted a goal early in the spell, and just before call of time Cook scored a soft try. . , Auckland was superior throughout, but neither side showed scoring aibilitv, and seven points would have been a better gauge of the relative merits of tlie teams.
