Press Association. BLENHEIM, September 3. At the inquest on Frank Lefroy Lowry, killed whilst working on a traction engine on Monday, verdict was returned that deceased met his death while putting a belt on a driving wheel, there being no evidence to show that anyone was to blame. NAPIER, September 3. An accident occurred to the Taupo coach yesterday while descending the Titiokura hill beyond Pohui. The horses got out of control and the coach capsized, the driver, Hay how, sustaining a broken arm and severe injuries to one of his legs. Fortunately there were no passengers in® the coach. WELLINGTON, September 3. At an inquest on the body of Wm. Cha6. Wliiteford, who fell dead at Kilburuie while working with others on telephone line work, the medical evidence showed that death was due to heart disease. The jury returned a verdict accordingly. AV. J. Hamilton, a prominent figure in Association football circles, died suddenly this morning. Walter Jennings, laborer, who had been ill since Sunday, apparently suffering from influenza, died suddenly to-night. Deceased had. not been medically attended. Humphrey O’Rorke, clerk in the Advances to Settlers Office, was found dead in his bed at the Railway Hotel, Thorndon, to-day. Death was due to natural causes. CHRISTCHURCH, September 3. At an inquest held this afternoon touching the death of a little girl . named Agues Florence Webb, who was smothered by a fall of sand in a pit at Linwood yesterday, a verdict of “accidentally killed” was returned.
