At the- Police Court to-day a youth named William Anderson ploadou guilty to a chargo of stealing £2O Is m money, a gold ling valued at 15s and a'purse valued at 2s. The articles were stolon from a workman s coat in premises adjacent to where accused was working and the money was secreted in an outhouse. Iho accused was committed to the Supremo Court for sohtonco. INVERCARGILL, Soptomber 2. A heavy sea -fog settled over t-ho town to-niglit.
