In reference to the regulations gazetted last week, limiting the number and weight of trout to be taken in one dav, it is pointed out that these regulations are simply the general ones in support of the new license, which enables the holder to fish throughout the country, but these licenses are subject to local regulations where any exist. A holder ot a general license fishing in Wellmg- - ton or-Canterbury waters will have to observe the Wellington or Canterbury regulations.
