At iho Rotorua train accident inquiry further evidence was given by James Marehbanks, engineer-in-chnr-go of tlio Wellington-Manawatu Railway Co., and by Alfred L. Beattie, chief mechanical engineer of the Bailway Department, in support of the efficiency of tlio Westinghouse brake, it being considered that the accident was the result of the brake, having been tampered with. It is expected that evidence will bo concluded tomorrow.
