ODDFELLOWS’ SOCIAL.
V pleasant social evening was spent at the 1.0.0. P., M.U., lodge-room lart night, when tlio members of the L'/dge entertained their lady friends. There was a largo attendance, and the hall was crowded, representatives of the sister lodges being present. A splendid programme was gone through, the contributors being as follows: —Mr. Parnell’s orchestra (selections), Bros. Horne, Mac Gibbon, ard Goldsmith, Mrs. Schwa ho ami Miss Cowlick (songs). Bro. Morgan (Uissoon solo), Bro. Sim (recitation), B o. Sharland (flute solo). Bros. MacGlbbon and Schwab© sang a duet, a- iI concerted vocal items were given by the Lodge’s glee singers. After the conclusion of tho programme refreshments were handed round by m-'mbers, and much appreciated. On be half of the Lodge the secretary, Mr. A inbridge, extended thanks to the orchestra and to the ladies who had attended. He expressed the hope that another-similar social would he given at an early date, and that' the attendance of ladies would again lie large. The singing of “God Save the King” brought a pleasant entertainment to a close.
