RIFLE-SHOOTING.

TEAAI FOR AUSTRALIA. Press Association. WELLINGTON, August 23. The following team has been chosen to represent New Zealand at the forthcoming Australian rifle meeting: A. Ballinger, Wellington ; W. H. Ballinger, Wellington ; Duncan, Denniston ; Alills, Dunedin Cameron, Masterton ; Aloslem, Auckland ; Purnell, Wanganui ; Alilroy, Nelson ; Craw, Chariton; Wilkie, Upper Hutt; Masefield, Blenheim ; Ay6on, Wyndham. Others were asked to join, but declined on account of business engagements. Colonel Collins has arranged for the issue of new rifles to each member of the team. Passages have been booked by the Wimmera, which sails for Sydney direct on Frilay, 4th October, so as to give them a week’s practice before the meeting. The selection of the team was limited to competitors who attended last Trenfham meeting. The officer in charge has not yet been selected.
