CHRISTCHURCH, August 21. At .an inquest held this afternoon touching the deatli of Mrs. Williams, whose body was found in the River Avon this morning, a verdict of “Found drowned” was returned.
PALMERSTON, August 21. T!he hoy Carson died at 7 o’clock this evening as the result of a wound inflicted by a pistol. An inquest will be held to-morrow.
