Air. Charles Ferris, of Wainui, who was injured through his horse falling, is, it was ascertained last evening, making good progress. Though the latient was unconscious for some lours after the mishap, Ills injuries are not serious and Dr. Alorrison anticipates a fairly rapid recovery. The Alayor is indisposed through an attack of influenza. Afr. Jas. Petherick, the well-known theatrical agent is at present in town making arrangements for the coming visit of Montgomery’s Entertainers. This combination which has an excelleirt j*eput-ation is t«o open at- His Majesty's on Wednesday next.
