MONTGOMERY’S ENTERTAINERS
The above-mentioned company commences a season of four nights at His Majesty’s Theatre on Wednesday next, August 28th, when in addition to new members of the company, Mr. Montgomery lias procured the latest series of animated pictures, including the scenic splendours of AVagnor’s great opera-drama, “Parsifal: or the Redemption of Kundry”—the old story of virtue victorious and villainy vanquished. The struggle for the world’s rowing championship on the Parramatta between AVilliam AA’ebb, of Wanganui, and Charles Towns, of New South Wales, is shown in two films. One, by AVest, comprises the training operations of AA’ebb. the start and finish of the race at Searl’s Monument. Another view is given following the race on a motor launch, showing the race from start to finish and the New Zealander’s victory. Two of the All Blacks’ matches are shown, when the record attendance of fifty-two thousand persons were present. Other films of interest and humor will be shown. In addition to the old favorites Mr. Montgomery has secured the services of a musical double, one of which, Mr. AY ally Morton, performs the unique feat of playing on two cornets at one time. Some very fine illustrated songs have been secured, and will be rendered by Miss Ettie Hapgood, Mr. AV. H. Montgomery (baritone). Mr. Harry Thomas character vocalist) and H. Monck (comic), will also contribute to the programme. The box office, where seats may be secured in advance, is now open at AV. Miller’s.
