A WESTPORT PROPOSAL. Press Association. . WESTPORT, August 19. At a meeting of the "Westport Harlior Board to-day the Engineer and Secretary submitted a report on the making of the Westport harbor intc a harbor suitable for a naval coaliim harbor to accommodate the largost warship in the Australian service It was stated that this could possibly no done from the Board’s revenues in I * Jeais, but four if the Admiralty granted a subsidy of £200,000. The Board decided to recommend the Iremier to forward the report to the Admiralty with a request that marine engineers be sent to Westport- to report on the proposal.
