COUNTRY TO BE THROAVN OPEN. (Special to Times.) WELLINGTON, August 13. Air. Herries to-day asked the Minister for Native Affairs whether, seeing that tlio titles of tlie Urc.wera country are. now settled, any portion of that country will be opened for settlement or prosjiecting? Air. Carroll replied as follows: As the titles of tlie Urewera lands ore now settled and tlie clerical work necessary in making out the several orders is just about finished steps will be taken to give practical effect to the understanding already arrived at between the Natives and the Crown in regard t-o throwing open portions for prospecting.
