An illustrated lantern lecture, bearing tho above title will bo given in the Church of England Schoolroom, Derby-street-, next Thursday evening hv the Rev. L. Dawson-Thomas, vicar of Bisborne. When in Australia recently the vicar attended a lecture given l.y <he head of the Government Tourist Department. in Sydney from a nurn! or ol slides especially prepared for sending home to the Agent-General in London. Being much struck with tlie beauty of the views, lie secured copies of the best, and these will bo shown and explained in the lecture. In addition to these there are a number of fine slides of the Australian aboriginals, showing tlieir mysterious dances, etc. Some of tlie colonial industries will also bo illustrated. Interspersed throughout the programme will be musical items by some of the favorite local singers. The proceeds are to be given to the Sunday School.
