ARBITRATION COURT.
Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, yesterday. The Arbitration Court to-day decided that in an application for interpretation of an award one party could be represented bv counsel without the consent of the other partv. Geo. Simpson, builder, was fined £2 for paying a hod-carrier 8s a day instead of 9s. The Court will sit at Timaru next week, and resume sitting at Christchurch on Monday, the 29th. The Court will then fix dates for the hearing of several industrial disputes. Monday, August sth, is fixed provisionally as the date of hearing of the farm laborers’ dispute. DUNEDIN, yesterday.
The engineers have filed a dispute with the Arbitration Court. The*' askfir increased wages and new conditions.
