Pres? Association. CHRISTCHURCH, last night. At tlio Arbitration Court this afternoon proceedings were taken by the Inspector of Awards against the Christchurch Press Co., the Lyttelton Times Co., and Wliitcombe and Tombs, Ltd., to obtain enforcement of the industrial award and agreement which were alleged to provide that employees in the printing trade in Christchurch should be paid for certain holidays. Evidence was called tcp show yiat holidays had never before been paid for by master printora in Christchurch. Counsel for the respondents stated .that if the application was. granted it would mean a difference to tffe three ffrms of about £IOOO a year, and if back pay;were awarded it would amount to between £7OOO and £BOOO, Decision was reserved.
