Presß Association. PALMERSTON, last night. The opening of the inaugural meeting of the new Palmerston Coursing vjlub was hold to-day, under most favorable weather and other conditions, ilie new coursing wound was in capital order. Fifty-two clogs competed in the Maiden .Stake and 29 in the Members’ Sweepstake. The following dogs are left in the Maiden Stakes: Maori Boy, Respite, Myrtle, Lady Cardigan, Portcullis, Royal Artillery, Bonflinn, Wargod, Crimson, Rambler, St. Olliver, Euchre, Defiance. The meeting concludes to-morrow, when 30 courses will be run.
