OTAGO GENTRAL RAILWAY.

(Special to Times.) WELLINGTON, last night. Dir. McGowan, Acting Minister for Works, was waited upon to-day by an Otago deputation, which urged that the Otago Central Railway should be continued from Clyde to Hawea, at a probable cost of £300,000. The Minister was very guarded iii reply, and said that the amount of money for this .line on this year’s Estimates would depend upon the amount available for such works as a whole throughout the, colony.
