ARBITRATION COURT.
Press Association. WELLINGTON, yesterday. The industrial agreement between the AVellington Slaughtermen’s Union and the local freezing companies has been filed. AA'ith the exception of rates of pay, it is practically the same as the one the men were working 1 under before the strike. The main point of the rates is the provision for payment of 23s per hundred sheep, wages to be ]>aid weekly, but. no man to be employed on a weekly wage. The agreement is to remain in. force for two years.
NI3LSON. yesterday. Tlio Arbitration Court is considering the carpenters, plumbers, and laborers’ dispute, all desiring an increase of wages, ill view oV the alleged increased cost of living. It is probable the Court will conclude to-day.
