UNSOUND MEAT.

Mr. Dacey, member for Alexandriaasked the Colonial Secretary if he was aware that a considerable amount oi meat unfit for consumption was being slaughtered and that. it was being used in connection with the supply ol tinned meats for the Indian army: and would he make inquiry into a certain business carried on at Botany foi a few years past. Mr. Waddell replied that a certain mail was being watched but so fai had eluded the authorities. He was a Chinaman anil was very clever. While lie has the solitary instance ol bad meat being sold it was untrue that it was going on in a wholesale manner.
