Press Association. T AIR APE, Yesterday. At Itaetihi a serious accident befel Father Vibrand yesterday. He was in the act of turning his horse out in tho garden, when the animal let out. kicking him on the head, his skull being fractured. His condition is serious. ORE YMOTJTH, Yesterday. Elias John Contanche was killed at Hatter’s terrace on Saturday night through falling over a mining face. ASHBURTON, Yesterday. As three men were driving home from Ashburton to Fairfield (four miles out) last evening, their trap capsized owing to a bicycle which was in it falling at the horse’s heels. The driver sustained a few scratches, and Joseph Holloway was badly bruised and cut, and had to be taken to the hospital, while a third man, Robert George Rose, although damaged by the fall, and ordered to go to the hospital, refused to do so. Rose returned home to Fairfield, and died at an early hour this morning.
