LONDON "MARKETS. Press Association. WELLINGTON, Yesterday. The high Commissioner’s cable, dated London, July 6, states: The mutton market it steady, and there are signs'of improvement in prices. Canterbury mutton is at-4d, North Island 3§d. There is an endeavour amongst holders to raise the price of lamb, but as large shipments are arriving and the weather lately has been very unfavourable to the sale of lamb, there is no chango in the prices to report. The beef market is firm. Hindquarters are at 3jd, fores 3ld. Hie butter market is steady and a fair demand continues. The price oi choicest N. Z. is 99s to 109 s, Siberian 925. The cheese market is quiet bub steady. White manafacture is at 61s, colored 60s. The hemp market is firm, but only a little business is doing.
