ARBITRATION COURT.
Press Association. NELSON, yesterday. The Arbitration Court began its sittings in’Nelson to-day. The laborers’ award by the Conciliation C.ourt will be taken oil appeal from the employers. A large number of cases of breaches of award, principally for tlio employment of non-union-ists, are to bo heard. Thu chief interest centres round some cases wherein ordinary householders are arraigned for employing casual garden labor non-unionists, without first ascertaining if Union men were available. .The. point hinges on whether such employers are included among the employers cited and embraced within the laborers’ award.
NELSON, last night. The Arbitration Court has been sit ting all day. There has been a mini her of trivial charges of breaches oi award and many of them were dismissed. The Court sits again tomorrow.
