ROME, July 5. Italians enthusiastically celebrated the centenary of Garibaldi’s birth. King Emanuel granted an amnesty to a number of political offenders. A 'urge pilgrimage was made to Gariba’di’s tomli at Coprera. The Papal Court is observing ten days’ spiritual retreat. _ , LONDON, July 5. A number of veteran Garibaldeans demonstrated at Stafford House. The guards outside St. James’ Palace saluted them. The Duke of Sutherland, Earl Crewe, and Mr. Herbert Gladstone made speeches extolling the Liberator.
