Some pertinent, advice to insurance companies'was given bv Mr. Bush. S.M. and Coroner, during the hearing of a fire enquiry at TeArolia. He said it would bo a good thing if insurance companies would make an inventory at the timo of the proposal fur insurance. The companies would accept- all the premiums a man was prepared to pay, and then in the event of a loss bv fire would light him to the last penny to avoid paying up. The Crown Solicitor agreed with His Worship, and said they should bo as particular as when preparing a schedule for 1-ill of sale. It is not often, in fact very seldom, that three deaths occur within 24 hours at the local hospital, but this occurred in New Plymouth on June 2Sth and 29th. The first was that of Air. T. A’eates, who had been pi the institution for some weeks suffering from accidental injuries. On the following morninc Miss Nancy Isabella Fawkuer, well known in Stratford, and-Miss Muriel Corbett, of Okato, died almost simultaneously at 10 o’clock.
