It is not often, in fact very seldom, that three deaths occur within 24 hours at the local hospital, but this occurred in New Plymouth on June 2Sth and 29th. The first was that of Air. T. A’eates, who had been pi the institution for some weeks suffering from accidental injuries. On the following morninc Miss Nancy Isabella Fawkuer, well known in Stratford, and-Miss Muriel Corbett, of Okato, died almost simultaneously at 10 o’clock.
