ANTICIPATIONS BY “MICAWBER.” It would take an unduly sanguine man to anticipate fine weather tomorrow, but this scribe prognosticates that the Gisborne Racing Club’s proverbial luck will come to their aid. In, any case interesting racing is assured. The course is one that sojiks ui> the damp and dries quickly, so unless Jupiter Pluvius is more than liberal with his copious showers the going will in no way daunt owners from starting their mounts. There are a big crowd of visitors in town, so that the attendance should be up to the average. The following selections are hazarded :

Maiden Scurry, 4 furlongs (12.45). —Lady Ainslie 1, Cantata 2, Cinders 3. Park Steeplechase, 3 miles (1.45). — Lcch Fyne 1, Kanaka 2, Hutana 3. Hack Handicap, 7 furlongs (2.30). —San Cruz 1, Kaumoana 2, Amuseliient 3. Trial Steeplechase, 2 miles (3.15).- — Morpeth 1, Vizier 2, Hikairoa 3. Winter Oats, 1 mile and a distance (4.0). —Reservoir I, Gladsnuiir 2, Annoyed 3.
