Following are results -of first round of the ladies’ tournament, played during the last two weeks; —-Miss 1?. Bright (23) defeated Mrs. E. H. Mann (25), 3 up; Mrs. V. Barker (25) defeated Miss Lousley (25), 1 up ; Mrs. H. M. Porter (25) defeated Miss Murray 2 up; Miss F. Adams (scr) defeated Miss' L. Coleman (16), 4 up; Miss Schumacher (25) defeated Miss Rees (25), 2 up; Mrs. Barlow (3) defeated Miss Gow (25), 7 up and 4 to play; Miss Mr. Barker (25) defeated Miss L. Barker (25), 4 up; Miss D. Chrisp (25). defeated Miss E. Coleman (25), 3- up; Miss D. Jones (25) defeated Miss Agnew-Brown (25), 2 up; Mrs. Morgan and Miss Matlieson drawn game. In the second round of the: tournament, which is to be played off by July 11th, the following members will play as drawn: —Miss Bright v. Miss Boylan, Mrs. W. Barker v< Mrs. V. Barker, Mrs. H. M. Porter v. Miss F. Adams, Mrs. Stephenson v. Mrs. Barlow, Mrs. Morgan v. Miss Matlieson, Miss M. Barker v. Miss Chrisp, Miss E. Nolan v. Miss D. Jones, Mrs: Gibson v. Mrs. O’Meara, Miss J. Sweet v. Mrs. King. Miss Simson v. Miss E. Barker, Miss E. Crawford v. Mr 3. A. Rees, Mrs. Buckeridge v. Miss Ferguson. Several players ’whose names are omitted win their second round by default, and will play again in the third round.
