The schooner struck all the heavy weather experienced on the northern portion of this island, -nt Cape Runaway, perhaps, the worst part of the storm was encountered. The anchor kept dragging, and Captain Probert made out to sea, although a heavy sea was raging. The U.S.S. Co.’s Maupiri left Auckland yesterday for G isborne, via coast ports. „ . „ , The Shaw, Savill, and Albion Co. s s.s. Gothic arrives this morning from Lyttelton to load for London. 'The Tyser steamer Star of Japan is not now expected till Tuesday next. Messrs. Hndilart, Parker, and Co.’s s.s. Victoria arrives from Auckland and Sydney this afternoon, and proceeds .south.
