NURSES OVERWORKED. Press Association. AUCKLAND, last night. At the Hospital Board meeting today a complaint was read from tlio lady superintendent that there was a shortage'in' the nursing staff to cope with increased work. Nurses averaged 12 hours a day, and holidays were hopelessly in arrears, whilst there -were insufficient probationers coming forward. The Board decided to grant an honorarium in addition to salaries to nurses engaged on plague, and small-pox patients.
