Tho Trados and Labor Council, endorsed a resolution of the Canterbury Trades’ Council, protesting against the proposal to subsidise a fast line of mail steamers to tho extent of £IOO,OOO. Tho Council also resolved to protest to tho Minister of Justice against tho present mot'liod of election of coroners’ juries. It was stilted the same jurymen were seen at different inquests, for a certain class of men wore standing about looking for these jobs for the sake of the 6s a day, which was easily earned.'
