A HORRIBLE CRIME
United Press Association —Cop "lit NEW YORE, Juno 25.’ Tho Black Hand Band at New Orleans captured a boy and demanded £I2OO ransom from his father, Peter Lamana, a wealthy merchant. The money was. wanted to enable a member of tlie gang to marry Gilbra,' an Italian beauty. As Lamana refused the demands the gang decided to kill the child. Caracetara, an Italian, broke bis neck and the body was carved and distributed. Owing to a confession fifteen of. the gang have been arrested.
