The Tonga correspondent of the Herald says that the residents ot Nukualofa wore Btartled from slumber about 1.16 a.m. on June Ist by the inoso sovero shock of oartnquaxo sinco April, 1897. There was a great jar, as if tho whole island had dropled a foot or two and settled on a lard foundation.
