WOOL SALES.
Following is tho N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. s report on the wool, skins, hides and tallow sale hold on Friday:— Buyers from Auckland, Wellington and the local markets were represented and competed keenly for the different lots. . , ■\Yool. Our catalogue comprised 26 bales, 32 bags wool, 801 sheepskins, 45 hides and 18 packages tallow Tho following were the clay s quotations -.—Rough fleece made from gad to 9,Jd, pieces and hollies Did to 7Jd, crutcliings 5Jd, short ami not. too cleanly picked 6Jd and 7d for all B °Sheeps e khis!—'Offerings for the most part comprised skins that had not received too good attention. Skins with dofective pelts brought irom »d to 3d per pound loss than wellsaved skins. Rough sorts made from 4'd to sfd, whilst good, sound pelt, skins made’ from Old. to. 81d winch may'be considered fail pi ices. Hides. —Butchor’s hides made from 3-58 d to 4-58 Id, station hides 4d to 4 Tallow. —In tins and barrels made from 21s to 21s Gd per cwt,, and rough fat .lid por^pouucL^^^
