DELAYING THE SYDNEY STEAMER. Mr. Charles Gowland writes as follows : I havo received the enclosed from tho Post Office, ‘Wellington, which looks as though they intend carrying out my suggestion of last week re keeping back the Sydney steamer until Friday evenings when at all necessary “By direction I have to formally acknowledge tho receipt of your lotter of tho Ist inst, and to inform you that the subject of it shall receive immediate attention.
