TELEPHONE REGULATIONS
The Chief Postmaster ndvisos roooipt of the following instructions m connection with private tolopliono wiro regulations: “Additional to thoso on pago 290 of tho Postal Guido and como into force as from 30th ulb., and provide: “(L) Cost of tolopliono and battory five pounds. “(2) Switching fee two pounds por annum, each subscriber usual bureau feos and costs transmission ovor public lino also chargeable. “(3) Telephonists may fix feo for thoir services at about thirty shillings per annum por telephone. “(d) Private linos may be connected with Telephone Kxehango on payment of £1 entrance fee for each line, and subject to tho followin'}!; charges—(a) private residences one connection on privato line, five pounds per annum, moro than one connection four pounds each; (b) business connections, initial business rate in force nt exchango with which connections made, if moro than ono connection on the private line each connection reduced one pound; (c) if Departmental lino exceeding ono mile erectod, payment usual mileage rates is charged for extra distance in addition charges under (a) anc (b) ’
