A valuable dog belonging to a lady at Hayward’s Heath having died, it was suspected that it had been poisoned. A veterinary surgeon made a post mortem examination, but instead of poison he found •a sponge, nailbrush, a piece of red ’flannel, several stones, hay, leaves, and pieces of wood. “Indigestion” was given as the cause of death.
