For the winners all played well, the backs taking, kicking and passing with great judgment and tlie forwards all working with a will. For the losers all played hard but most of them require a bit of . practice. Their handling of the ball was faulty, and the forwards instead of forcing the pace seemed to wait for some one to take the initiative. Zacluiriah and Somerville of the backs, and Lyford and .Diulfiold of tho forwards, were the pick. . Mr. Hay made an efficient referee, while Messrs. J. Roderick and M. Cox held tho line flags.
