HUNT CLUB
The Poverty Bay Hunt Chib had a most successful run on Saturday afternoon on Mr. Black’s property at Makauri. Mr. White’s property ivas also traversed during the run and the thanks of the club are due to these gentlfemen for the fine course placed at their disposal The pack started a couple of' hares and tivo good runs occurred. A painful accident hapened to Mr. Rutledge whose horse came down at one of the fences, the rider receiving injuries to his face and leg. Among those present were: The Master (Mr. W. Sherratt), Mr. T. Sherratt, (whip), Mr. P. Walsh (huntsman), Messrs. R. Sherratt, Chas. Thomas, G. Black, R. Black, G. Reynolds, R. Reynolds, Rutledge, J. Clark, and the following ladies: Misses Sherratt (5), Reynolds (4), H. Johnson, Rutledge, Black, and Gray. After tho, run flip company adjourned to Mr. Chas. Gray’s residence at “Waiolii'ka,” where they were hospitably entertained with afternoon tea.
