NOTICE is hereby given that it is the intention of the Gisborne Borough Council, o n TUESDAY, tho IBth June, 1907, under the powers conferred upon it by virtue of Section 9d of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,” and Sections Nos. 37 to 44 (both inclusive) of “Tho Rating Act, 1894,” and *all other powers enabling it in that behalf, to make and levy a Generhjl Rato of Two Shillings in the £ on the annual rental value of all rateable property within the Borough of Gisborne, for the period from the Ist day of April, 1907, to the 31st day of March, 1908, such General Rato to bo duo and payable in one sum upon the 29th day of JUNE, 1907.
SPECIAL RATES. WATERWORKS LOAN, £75,000. It is 'also the intention of tlio Council to levy and collect a Special R'atii of 6d in the £ upon tho rateable value of all rateable pro per tv within tho whole of the Borough of Gisborne, to provide interest upon tho Waterworks Loan of £75, ROEBUCK ROAD BRIDGE LOAN, £5500. It is also tho intention of the Council to levy and collect a Specia 1 Rato of id in the £ upon tho rateable value of all rateable property within the whole of the Borough of Gisborne, to provide interest upon a Loan of £5500 for a Bridge at Roebuck Road, across tho Taruhcru River. OLD BOROUGH DISTRICT. It is also tho intention of the Council to levy and collect a Special Rate of id in the £ upon the rateable value of all rateable property within that portion of the Borough of Gisborne known as the Old Borough, to provide interest on Loan of £4500. KAITI PORTION OK BOROUGH. It is also the intention of tho Council to levy and collect a Special Rate of 2d in the a. upon tho rateable value of all rateable property within the Kaiti portion of the Borough of Gisborne, to provide 9-16tlis of interest on tho Kaiti No. 1 Loan of £1543 16s 10c! (being 3d in the £), and the Kaiti No. 3 Loan of £2054 6s 8d (being 13d in the £). WHATAUPOKO PORTION. OE THE BOROUGH. It is also the intention of the Council to levy and collect a Special Rate of lid in the £ upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the Whataupoko portion of the Borough, to provide fths of interest on Whataupoko No. 1 Loan of £2612 9s lOd. STOUT STREET LOAN. It is also the intention of the Council to levy and collect a Special Rate of 3d in the £ upon the rateable value of all rateable property within that portion of Whataupoko known as Stout Street Rating District, to provide interest upon a Loan of £ll2 10s 7d.
