Putty went to the front entering the sraiglit, and won easily by six lengths. Apologue finished fourth. Time, 2.27. In tlie Second Hurdle Race Lionheart finished a bad third to Superstition and Ryde. Received Juno 4, 1.12 a.m. ADELAIDE, June 3. Tho Birthday Cup - resulted: Cairngorm 1, Pius 2, True Scot 3. There wero 14 starters. Won by a longtli and a quarter. Time, 2.40. Div., £l2 16s.
